[AP]Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison Monday for his role in a dog fighting conspiracy that involved gambling and killing pit bulls.
Vic surrendered to prison last month in anticipation of a prison term.
Vic still faces related state court charges and his fate with the NFL is unknown.

Wow, it;s amazing that some people are so stupdi and ignorant as to say that dog fighting is the same as boxing.
What a waste of oxygen.
When a boxer gets in the ring, he/she chooses to, and they are in there to win, not to kill each other. 99.9% they have the utnost respect for each other, and try to keep it clean.
Dogs, on the other hand, don't decide to go into the pit, and fight to the death. They are thrown in there by gutless cowards like the ghetto nut stain vic.
He got way less time than he deserves, but our justice system is a flawed one. Good news is he's now someones wife, and gargles mayonnaise nightly.
With any luck, his state charges will keep him locked up with his new lover, for at least a few more years.

I am watching dog town and seeing the damage that this Mike Vic bastard has done to these dogs.

Dimes to dollars he abused animals growing up as a kid, sick F__K, and this is all about money. Money doesn't just talk, it screams...to think this guy is permitted back in the game as a representative to kids of the NFL is more than sick, it's speaks volumes about how easily this brute has been let off. Outta the gene pool....and back to the trees and for Sport's Illustrated to put the dog on the cover publisizing the so called "sport", just cancelled our office subscription and from what I'm told the entire 4 offices on our floor has done the same...wait till you see the karma that comes calling at Vic's door.
