STEVE COOLEY PRIMARY OPPONENT HIGHLIGHTS DIFFERENCES IN TV AD

We will let this ad, produced by one of incumbent Los Angeles District Attorney Steve Cooley’s Republican primary opponents for Attorney General speak for itself—and simply comment that the ad highlights Cooley’s obstacles to securing the Republican nomination from unreasonable right-wing voters in the face of sensible Cooley policies (like his opposition to the 3-strikes law).

I see the tactical logic of Cooley running as a Republican for AG.

The presumptive (and best funded) Democratic nominee, Camilla Harris, is DOA in the general election.

Although she was of the first supporters of Obama's presidential candidacy, Obama deemed her to be too liberal for an appointment in his administration and his political capital has waned since; Obama will not be swinging Harris into the Ag spot.

Speaking as a Democrat, a resident of San Francisco, and a recent crime victim—and this is just my personal story in a city of 900,000--(a narcotics addict, high on drugs, arrested on the floor balcony our condo at 4:00 am in possession a knife, duct-tape and rope and who is already on TWO felony probations for prior burglary convictions HAD HIS CHARGES STEMMING FROM BEING ON OUR BALCONY AT 4:00 AM WITH A KNIFE, HIGH ON CRANK, A HYPODERMIC NEEDLE, ROPE, DUCT TAPE, AND A POUND OF WEED DISMISSED BY CAMILLA HARRIS--despite the obvious uses of a knife, duct-tape and rope for a burglar on a fire-escape at 4:00 am)--Harris is completely unsatisfactory as a prosecutor.

If an alert neighbor had not summoned police in the middle of the night, and had not SF's finest caught this would be robber-rapist (sorry Camilla, that is what TWEAKER, home-invasion burglar's use duct-tape, rope, and knives for) I would either be dead or charged with homicide--because if I had gotten the upper hand on this two time loser rapo scumbag no doubt Harris would have charged us!

Not to mention Harris' utter failure to appropriately run her office or to protect San Franciscan’s from predators, not to mention Harris' no-exceptions opposition to the death penalty--even in the case of cop killers.

The hard part for Cooley is going to be securing the Republican nomination as a liberal-moderate.

But if he does, and Harris secures the Dem nomination for AG--Cooley is the next AG. Because no is Camilla Harris fulfilled her sworn obligation to either uphold the law or to protect the residents of the City and County of San Francsco.

PS:

Talk to San Francisco police officers. They will tell you about Kamala Harris.
