TMZ is reporting a big number that his been mentioned in several prior news reports: Fifteen Million Dollars.That is the financial package that the ex’s politically connected former attorney, civil trial lawyer Eric M. George, won for his client at a private mediation earlier this year.
The ex—and Gibson—signed a written, confidential settlement agreement at that time, but for reasons assumed to boil down to greed, the ex reneged on the agreement, hired her present family law attorney, and leaked the audio tapes to Radar online through a third party now believed to be her sister.
Gibson’s lawyers scoff at the idea that the ex backed out of the settlement because it called for unsupervised visitation between Gibson and his child—because since the date of the alleged “assault” until she leaked the tapes he had been encouraging Gibson to spend as much time with the child as possible--and he did.
In addition, her family law attorney said in court this week that the settlement agreement was “irrelevant” because she was represented by George, and not a family law attorney, when she agreed (in writing) to the $15 million settlement package that included visitation rights for Gibson.
It is hard to imagine the ex’s current attorney thinking that she could even come close to a settlement of that magnitude now, since all that she will be entitled to in family court is monthly child support—provided that she is awarded custody of the child.
Clearly, the tapes (or more precisely the promise to keep them confidential)—which were previewed at the mediation—played a major role in Gibson’s agreement to pay the Russian scam artist fifteen million dollars, but now that the tapes have been played on every cable TV station in the world 24/7 for two weeks, her leverage has evaporated.
In other words, the Russian’s threat to sue Gibson for assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress if the case did not settle in mediation was a way of negotiating a financial settlement in exchange for the tapes never seeing the light of day without calling it extortion. But now that the tapes are out there, what more can she do to Gibson?
The Russian had her moment of maximum leverage when, through attorney #1, she negotiated a $15M windfall, and through greed she flushed it down the toilet.
We hope her sister got a lot of money from Radar online for those tampered with tapes. Because that is all the grifter is ever going to see over and above monthly child support.

All I can say is, I hope this serves as a lesson to Mr. Gibson and other men out there looking for trophies that what you see often is not what you end up with. A comprehensive background check on this wench could have saved him a great deal of aggravation, money and dignity. She is a disgrace to womanhood.

Obviously, neither Mad Mel nor the black-hearted Russian paid attention to the first rule of catechism: Anyone who has matured past the age of 6 knows what one wants and what one gets, are usually 2 totally different things!
We are told that if the ex is awarded joint custody of Gibson's child--the most likely outcome of the custody battle (unless she goes to jail and cannot act as a custodial parent) at the most she is going to be awarded $15,000 a month in child support--which is all a family court judge has the power to award an unmarried woman in a paternity case.
That pencils out to no more than $2M paid over 20 years--a far cry from the $15 million she turned down.
The ex is now saying, through a surrogate, that Gibson held a gun to her head.
Aside from the fact that the Russian's serial claims about Gibson have gotten so hyperbolic and ridiculous that few believe her at this point, she is about to learn some difficult lessons in litigation tactics.
She should also do well to remember two things:
1. She let it all hang out at the mediation to get the biggest number possible and said zip about a plot to kidnap and kneecap Harvey Levin (the "jew blood on my hands" alleged comment), nor did the Russian mention Mel allegedly putting a gun to her head. While the mediation claims cannot be used in court, Mel's lawyers and the rest of us know she is lying sack of shit.
2.She has already filed a declaration in support of various temporary orders that states her best case that Mel is dangerous to her and his own child. This was signed by her under oath and is testimony just like in open court. If she makes any of these additional claims about Mel at trial that are not in that declaration, she will have even less credibility with the court than she and her attorney do now. Which is to say not much at all--because she went intop court for an emergency order trying to bar Gibson from seeing his own kid without even telling the court that AFTER the alleged bad behavior happened, she signed a settlement agreement giving Mel full visitation rights!
The bottom line is the more she moves her lips the more the world knows what a blatant conniving Russian scam artist she really is.
I wonder how long it will take for her people to announce that she has signed a porn movie deal?
And if she signs such a deal, it will no doubt be an autobiography.

I believe Mad Mel’s posse can spin his bad behavior as nothing more than an out-of-control bi-polar man who had a VERY bad day. If the Russian had separate recordings of Mad Mel’s inexcusable behavior—say recordings from Jan 6, Feb 3, March 16, April 7, May 1… well, then perhaps the recordings would help the Russian—afterall, she could demonstrate a clear pattern of his outrageous behavior and abuse. However, the Russian admits ALL the recorded calls occurred on January 6, 2010. Since the calls were made on 1 single day, who benefits the most—Mad Mel or the black-hearted Russian?

According to RadarOnline Oksana Grigorieva claims that Mel Gibson confided in her about his domestic abuse towards wife Robyn and their children.
Grigorieva claims that Mel threw a television set at Robyn and hit their son. Oksana told authorities that she witnessed Gibson hit his youngest son Tommy. She also revealed that Mel admitted to abusing his soon to be ex wife Robyn.
Are you fricking kidding me?
