We covered the relatively obscure story of the kiddie porn pediatrician reported in the Arizona Republic here, because we figured that this story had "legs".We were--literally--correct.
All major news outlets are now reporting that Dr. kiddie porn cut off his ankle monitoring bracelet and legged it out of town, and is now a fugitive. Dr. Emilio Luna is now being hunted by the FBI and the United States Marshals Service.

Ewww - This guy makes my skin crawl. What a freak. I don't know what his child patients and their parents are thinking, but I know if he had been treating my children, he'd have a whole lot more than child porn charges to worry about. Talk about absolute losers...
One does have to wonder if his apparent erotic obsession influenced his choice of medical specialty.
We say "obsession" since, as reported in the news, two lap tops, a desktop PC and an external hard drive were not large enough to hold all of the kiddie images in Dr. kiddie porn's collection--he also filled THREE HUNDRED WRITABLE CD's with his porn of choice.
Let's hope he did not progress from the fantasy stage to actually doing.
But after 10 years as a pediatrician (more if you include residency training) we are as concerned as everyone else.
ou can bet that law enforcement in every community where he has lived and come in contact with patients and children in other contexts is turning over rocks as we speak.
I hope they catch him and put him in front of a firing squad. Then just shoot him in, like, the kneecaps and elbows and groin... just flesh wounds so he suffers, then let him lay in the dirt and die a slow, agonizing death. You do NOT. MESS. WITH. CHILDREN. Period.

I wonder who's paying the bills for Mom and Dad now that junior's unemployed and on the lam. I'm sure they're pleased as punch after investing a fortune in his medical education. A loser all around.
