DID MEG WHITMAN’S $30M DONATION AFFECT RAPE ACCUSATION AGAINST SON?

What Happens in Princeton, Stays in Princeton or The Hangover II

From the NY Daily News

California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman is being accused of using her influence with Princeton University to squash its investigation into allegations that the Billionaire’s son raped a coed while a student there four years ago.

Whitman’s son, Griffith Harsh was initially investigated by a Princeton disciplinary board after the woman claimed she woke up with a black eye, a bruised face - and Whitman's son on top of her.

"He was like, 'You need the morning-after pill,'" the woman's friend told Gawker.com, which broke the story. "And she was like, 'Why, what happened?' She didn't remember having sex, she didn't remember consenting, she didn't remember any of it."

Whitman’s son claimed that the drunken sex was consensual and that his classmate received the black eye and bruised face when she “fell”—presumably out of bed.

The Princeton committee decided there wasn't enough evidence to expel Harsh, who took a year-long leave of absence and wound up graduating last year.

Whitman has reportedly donated $30 million to Princeton University.

As I see it, based on the son's admissions alone (sex with obviously intoxicated coed, violation of school alcohol policy resulting in physical injuries to a fellow student, using alcohol to excess) any school including Princeton would have expelled any other student under the same circumstances.

I mean if the girl did not even recall the night before, obviously she was smashed on at least booze.

Can't blame mom from helping her son with her money and influence, but the story emphasizes her billionaire status as well as (yet again) how she preaches one thing and does another--whether she is talking about social responsibility or illegal immigration.

Even without this scandal, unless Jerry Brow is arrested for murder in the comming days, Whitman is toast:

California races: Brown doubles lead against Whitman; Senate race close
October 25, 2010 | 4:34 pm

In case you missed it over the weekend: Jerry Brown's lead in the race for California governor has more than doubled in the last month. According to a Los Angeles Times/USC Poll, Brown leads Whitman 52% to 39% among likely voters.
(UPDATE 5:22p.m.: Asked if The Times poll was a disappointment in the campaign's closing days, Whitman tonight told a nationwide ABC-News audience:
("No, because the L.A. Times poll is biased and it's bunk. Every year, the L.A. Times comes out with a poll about a week before the election that's very heavily skewed to the candidate they choose. Who did the L.A. Times endorse? Jerry Brown.")
In addition, according to the poll, a turning point in Whitman's race was the Sept. 29 announcement from the Republican's former housekeeper. Whitman's handling of the housekeeper controversy and her spending habits have cost her support among key voter groups.

Don't like that poll?

Rasmussen has Brown up by six points, Survey USA has Brown up by 7 points.

No recent polls favor Whitman.

Brown leads among Latino voters 87% to 13%.

"Bunk"? Don't think so Meg.

Nice knowing you.

Meg Whitman actually said ON VIDEO TAPE that 30 years ago in California ANYTHING WAS POSSIBLE--and that is why she moved here so long ago.

THE PROBLEM FOR WHITMAN IS that 30 years ago, Jerry Brown was Governor--as the cantidate points out in this new 30 second TV spot.

Judging from the photo, Griffith was a drama major at Princeton?

Maybe if Meg bothered to even register to vote during the 28 years preceding her decision to run for the highest office in California she would have remembered when Brown was Governor before she opened her big fat mouth and drove the final stake through the heart of her campaign.

Ha!

"You don't know me and I don't know you, Meg, comprende?"

When is Gloria Allred going to show up on Geraldo representing Meg’s son’s Princeton “victim”?

Praising the California of 30 years ago--when Jerry Brown was the Governator has to be the dumbest speach writer's gaff in the history of politics.

At-a-glance the young man has issues and problems beyond the scope of the criminal justice system (a prior arrest for assaulting women + the "rape" incident--both hushed up by mommy)--possibly related conflicts about sexual orientation.

Kind of gives Mommy Dearest new meaning.

Poor kid.

Poor kid’s victims.
